Equipment & Checks During Inspection

General Checklist

  • Operational Test - Carry out a full test on the machine.

  • Electrical - wiring, each conductor, isolation device, insulation/continuity tests

  • Switches and Contactors - check mechanical operation of all switches and contactors

  • Check all appropriate levels

  • General Inspection - Check physical condition of the equipment, internal and external

  • Heating Elements - Check current and for signs of corrosion, connections

  • Gas Supply - Check correct pressure levels, gas valve, restraints

  • Flue - Check condition of the flue and clean as necessary

  • Pilot Light - Check light, adjust if necessary

  • Ignition Electrode - Check condition and reliability of operation. Clean as required

  • Safety Interlocks - Check operation of ventilation interlocks

  • Thermocouples/Flame Failure - Check condition and correct shut down

  • Drain Valve and Outlet - Check mechanical operation of drain valve and clear waste

  • Overheat/cutout capillary - Check it is correctly located and secure

  • Fry Pan - Check fry pan for leaks and condition

  • Fry Basket - Check condition of basket

  • Safety Devices - Visually Check all Safety Guards

  • Thermostat - Check capillary phial is correctly located and secure. Calibrate if necessary
