1.0 About the Project

  • Has a full project description and programme details including any key dates been included in the CPP?

  • Have details of all parties appointed to the project been included within the CPP (i.e. a detailed project directory)?

  • Has a declaration as to the extent and location of documentation relevant to the health and safety of the project, been included in the plan (i.e. Comments relevant to items within the tender pack or surveys etc)?

2.0 Management of the Work

  • Has a management structure and responsibilities of individuals, including proof of competency for site manager been included in the CPP?

  • Have the health and safety aims for the project been detailed within the CPP?

  • Have arrangements to ensure cooperation between project team members and coordination of their work, (e.g. regular site meetings, and how liaison will be undertaken between parties on site), been documented in the CPP?

  • Have arrangements for involving workers (i.e. consultation processes, weekly meetings, toolbox talks etc) been documented in the CPP?

  • Have arrangements for the site induction process been documented within the CPP?

  • Have arrangements for providing adequate welfare facilities been provided within the CPP (details of what the facilities will include and a drawing should be provided which details the layout of the site and location of the welfare facilities, including pedestrian and vehicles access points)?

  • Have fire and emergency procedures been considered within the CPP (fire risk assessment, evacuation procedures and detailed fire plan or marked up drawing)?

  • Have arrangements been detailed within the CPP for site security and segregation of the public from the works (i.e. hoarding plan)?

  • Does the CPP include arrangement for whom the first Aid person will be and where to obtain first aid?

  • Has the PC detailed the accident/incident/near miss reporting procedure within the CPP?

  • Has a copy of the site rules been included within the CPP, including any disciplinary process for breaching the site rules?
