Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can protect employees against physical harm from hazards that cannot be eliminated or controlled. Use this general PPE safety toolbox talk template to discuss different kinds of PPE that can be used. Check sufficiency and availability of equipment for all workers and document accidents or near misses due to faulty PPE and discuss the solutions on how to avoid these hazards.

Basic Security Standards on Site

1. Guards are in place to provide a visible security deterrent and control access and egress to the site

2. Ensure only authorised personnel enter the site

3. All personnel are to book in / out, check ID, (staff list should be with security at access point)

4. No equipment to leave site during silent house

5. On first and last Patrol psychically check all doors,windows , gates, fencing, plant, tool sheds & cabins are secure

6. Patrol site at irregular intervals, paying attention to fuel bowsers, tool sheds, fence line, gates, plant and all accommodation units

7. Complete Event log books in real time with as much factual information as possible

8. Assist the site manager / foreman as required with any reasonable request

9. please make yourself aware of the method statement with full details on how to complete your daily tasks and actions to be taken in the event of an emergency.

10. contact the control department immediately if any deviation from stated task
