Remove the MEN Connection and the Main Neutral/s from the Main Neutral Link/s and Secure

Place coloured cable ties in the removed conductors Neutral Link Terminals i.e. Black Main Neutral, Green MEN

Perform Continuity Test
-

Using a Multimeter on Ohms setting, Perform Continuity Test to confirm ALL Main Switches are OPEN. Test between LINE side of Main Switch and Neutral Link/s
If a reading other than (OL) is obtained re-check the installation:
- for additional Main Switches
- Main Switch/Switches that may have not operated correctly
- incorrect Neutral was removed or identified
- incorrect Switchboard wiring which may include un-switched circuits
If all above factors have been considered, then a reading above 60,000 Ohms (60K) would be considered acceptable.
Step 8: For a Service

Disconnect and remove existing service line

Install the Service and Connect to the Consumer Mains

Ensure that any Neutral Bonding Conductor is DISCONNECTED from metallic parts and secured
Step 9: At the Switchboard

Confirm the switchboard is prepared for testing
