•  Truck inspected and staged on flat level ground?
   Surrounding area closed off to unauthorized personnel?
   Brakes set? Wheels chocked?
   Tie down points secure?
   Deck surface appropriate for loading /off-loading material?
   Proper access to bed of truck?
   Do personnel need to be above 6’ to load / unload?
   Exclusion zone set up?
  

Loading and Unloading Checklist

•  Weight of the load known?
   Is cargo evenly distributed?
   Proper bracing and dunnage?
   Was load disrupted during transport?
   Chains/binders in good condition?
   Softeners and edge protectors in place?
   Stored energy present? How will it be managed?
   No leaking or damaged material?
  

• All personnel are required to ensure that the above listed items are confirmed in place whether loading or off loading trucks on Skanska projects . If at any point, any individual feels the material cannot be safety loaded or unloaded , he or she is required to use stop work authority!
