Building

  • Are all walls and eaves clean and free of cobwebs and graffiti?

  • Are all exterior surfaces of windows and frames clean of marks and tape?

Shop Interior

  • Are door mats in use and in good condition?

  • Is floor area (including under gondolas) clear of stock, dirt and dust?

  • Are ceiling, exhaust fans and air conditioning vents clean and free of cobwebs?

  • Are all interior lights bright "daylight " globes and are clean, clear of cobwebs and in working order?

  • Are all chiller & HAC/ bakery unit lights clean, clear of cobwebs and in working order?

  • Are all rubbish bins clean and lined appropriately (including coffee and ATM bins)?

  • Is product height below shelf tops and are windows clear from all stock?

Shelving and Counters

Storeroom

  • Is the dry goods storage area clean and organised with stock located within the designated area and off the floor where possible?

  • When standing inside the coolroom / freezer, is the floor clean with all stock well organised?

  • Are all lights working in storeroom, coolroom and freezer room?

  • Is the door between the airlock and the shopfloor closed and free of stock?

Coolroom/Supplier Fridges & Freezers

Coffee/FCB/FUB/Food Bench Area

  • Is information being supplied correctly and on time to the office? (Bank Deposit Summaries, Daily Reports, ATM Reconciliation, EOM Reports, invoices to Dropbox, etc)

Customer Service

  • Is the CSA working from a checklist/ tasklist or can the CSA describe their duties for the day?

  • Are all staff and the retailer dressed in correct uniforms, which are clean and well presented including clean covered black shoes?

  • Are all staff and the retailer wearing appropriate name badges in the correct position? (On the outside of apron where applicable)

  • Can the Checker observe the CSA demonstrating the 6 steps of customer service? (Ackowledge, Greet, Confirm, Add-on, Process, Farewell)

Merchandising

  • Is the site free from unauthorised stands or signs?

  • Mark down process correctly implemented eg Stickers and wobblers used correctly

  • Are pricing strips attached correctly and in good condition throughout the store including coolroom/fridges, freezer and chiller?

  • Are shelf labels throughout the store in place, in good condition and not faded?

  • Are current planograms implemented and available for staff reference?

  • Is all stock (especially promo displays) at least 2 deep on the shelf?

  • Are all relevant promotional wobblers, posters, fridge/chiller cards, electrostatics, Star Deal inserts, pump headers in place and in good condition?

HSSE

  • Does this site have temperature records available for inspection, for prepared food and fridges/coldrooms/freezers?

  • Does the CSA understand temperature checking procedures?

  • Check the till drawer to ensure that the CSA does not have more than $250 in larger notes >=$20's in cash drawer.

  • Does the HSSE checklist in SOR have records for alarm tests, including hold up, perimeter, pendant. As well as records of compressor having been bled.

  • Does the site have up to date records of water paste checks? Are they checking for water every week and after rain (e10 daily)?

  • Are height markers prominently displayed near the door?

  • Is the CCTV system (incl console security monitor) in place and working?

  • Are all doors closed and locked, scuff free and signed appropriately?

  • Are cleaning chemicals stored in a orderly fashion and away from food products?

  • Are contents of HAZMAT box up to date, including Site Manager/Site Supervisor contact details? (Emergency Response Plan, MSDS's, Site Plan)

  • Are all relevant MSDS's current versions stored on-site and available to staff?

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Does the site have 2 safety vests – 100% cotton with night reflective tape?

  • Does the site have Heavy duty gloves, Fuel/ Gas handling gloves?

  • Is there an Intrinsically safe torch available & working?

  • Does the site have a Personal Duress Alarm (portable) linked to the surveillance security system (if applicable)?<br>

  • Is there a minimum of 3 day / night safety cones (Min 600mm high with reflective tape)?<br>

  • Does the site have single use disposable gloves for food handling and cleaning?<br>

  • Is there a sharps bin available on site, and syringe pick up claws / tongs which are specifically marked?<br>
