Is there adequate signage?

Are the doorways and exits free from clutter?

Do the doorway and exits have any broken parts?

Are the doorway and exits free from having cords running through doorway?

Is the barrier placed around the pit?

Are all benches are kept tidy?

Are all surfaces stable?

Are work benches at an appropriate height?

Are work benches free from broken parts?

Is the appropriate PPE readily available for the tasks that may take place?

Does the racking/storage system have the SWL visible?

Are hazardous substances stored according to the manufactures specifications? e.g. approved storage containers/segregated?

Is the appropriate PPE being used and available when working with hazardous substances

Are all substances clearly labelled?

Are Safety Data Sheets readily available?

Is the appropriate PPE being worn during welding activities?

Is the worker able to conduct work in a safe manner?

Is the worker aware of those around them?

Is signage clean and readable?

Has signage been defaced/or damaged?

Is signage in the appropriate place? e.g. approx 1.5m high, close to extinguisher?

Have all the Fire extinguishers has been serviced within the last year and has a service tag?

Electrical tagging within date?

Power points are turned off when not in use?

No wiring is exposed?

All power plugs are in working order?

Are the kits fully stocked?

First aid kits only contain items that are within expiry dates?

First aid kits are easily identified with appropriate signage?

Signage is clean and readable? not defaced or broken?

Are the correct manual handling practices occurring at time of inspection? e.g. 2 person lifts, use of trolleys, bending at knees etc.

Do all ladders have rubber feet?

Are all ladders clean and in good working order?

Do any of the chairs have broken parts that would effect the use? or pose a risk to workers?

Are all desk chairs fully adjustable?

Are power tools kept in designated areas

All plugs are in good condition?

Is there any exposed wiring?

Tools are kept in good condition and replaced as required?

Emergency procedures are posted in effective places?

Emergency procedures signs are clearly visible and easily understood?

All work areas have adequate lighting?

All light fittings are in good conditions?

All light switches are in good condition?

All lights have appropriate covers?

All work areas have adequate ventilation?

All windows are in good working condition

All windows are kept clean

The level of noise is acceptable?

Appropriate PPE is provided and used for excessive noise?

Adequate washing facilities are available? e.g. running water, soap, and a method to dry hands.
