Trailer King Pin

  • Inspect the king pin mounting plate welds or bolts.

  • Inspect welded gussets or braces.

  • Inspect king pin for excessive wear (if visible).

Drop Deck Trailer

  • Inspect gussets and brace welds on the top and bottom sections of the drop deck.

  • Inspect all brace beams across the main gooseneck section.

Landing Legs

  • Inspect the mounting bolts for looseness or damage.

  • Inspect the landing leg mounting section welds.

  • Inspect the landing leg footing for wear or damage.

Main Chassis

  • Inspect chassis bracing bars for distortion and cracks in welds.

  • Inspect cross beams for cracks and damage.

Suspension

  • Inspect suspension mounts to chassis for cracks or damage.

Twist Locks

  • Inspect welds on the mounting units for each twist for cracks or damage.

  • For a drop deck trailer, inspect the twist lock riser units:<br>Pivot pins and mounts for excessive wear;<br>Locking pins holding riser in place; and<br>No damage to riser.

Tipping-skel Frame

  • Inspect all frame cross members and bracers for cracks or damage.

  • Inspect rear pivot pins for wear, cracks to mounts or damage.

  • Inspect hoist frame sections for damage or cracking.

  • Inspect hoist mounting pins and mounts for wear, damage or cracking.

  • No hydraulic leaks on hoist hydraulic fitting or hoses.
