  • Examine all access covers and doors for damage

  • Check enclosures are free from obstruction or surrounding hazards I.e. water, flammable materials

  • Check all bolts and locks are in place and secure

  • Check for signs of heating to switch gear

  • Check for any abnormal noise from switchgear

  • Check all glands are secure and tight

  • Check all glass viewing windows are not damaged

  • Check earth bonds to doors and circuit breaker are of adequate size and securely fixed

  • Check all operators are intact and operable

  • Check for correct application labeling

  • Check that all statutory notices are in place

  • Check for normal operation

  • Check earth bonds on plug, building and earth electrodes

  • Test primary earth leakage

  • Test secondary earth leakage
