  • Only answer the questions that apply to your type of extinguisher. Is it a stored pressure or a cartridge?

Stored Pressure Checklist

  • Is security tie in place?

  • Is gauge pressure in the green?

  • Visually inspected hose. Is it free from damage or obstructions?

  • Does weight or "heft" determine fullness?

  • Visually inspect cylinder. Is it free of corrosion, damage, or leaks?

  • Do you feel this fire extinguisher is worthy of use?

Cartridge Checklist

  • Is security tie in place?

  • Is the indicator button in the down position (red button on top)?

  • Visually inspected hose. Is it free from damage or obstructions?

  • Weight or "heft" determines fullness. Is the extinguisher appear to be full?

  • Visually inspect cylinder. Is it free of corrosion, damage, or leaks?

  • Remove cover and inspect cartridge. Is cartridge attached in in working order and no visible corrosion?

  • Is handle in working order?

  • Do you feel this fire extinguisher is worthy of use?
