Training and recruitment

  • Is a recruitment plan in place and does the manager know how many employees are required?

  • Is the person leading the interview fully trained, are there two people conducting the interview process and notes being taken?

  • Is PORTW being administered correctly?

  • Are all personnel files complete and up to date and / or being archived correctly?

  • Are probation reviews being conducted and retained for all new employees and for employees promoted to a new role?

  • Are 121 / Career chats being completed with each member of the team at least every 12 months?

  • Are the team managing the completion of eLearning?

  • Have all associates completed 'associate training program' within 84 days of commencement and/or Shift managers completed each module of training within 5 months of commencing the module?

  • Was the 2nd pub PC (laptop) on site and available for members of the team to complete on-line training?

  • Have all leavers been recorded as leaving on Resource Link?

  • Are all staff contracts available, complete and up to date?

Other - People

  • Are the principles of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in place and being adhered to?

  • Are staff areas clear, clean and tidy (including staff toilets)?

  • Are appropriate communications in place throughout the business and are they up to date?

  • Are the pubs managing absence according to JDW polices and procedures?

  • Have all members of the kitchen team been provided with enough uniform?

  • Have sufficient accommodation checks been completed and are areas checked well maintained?

  • Does the pub adhere to night workers regulations?

  • Is the office clean, tidy and well organised, and is a clear desk policy in place?

  • Have all actions from the previous People Audit been completed?

  • Answer NO here if there are any other action points for the pub that are not covered else ware or if there are any addition comments for the pub relating to People issues

  • Accommodation checks - do the actual tenants match the registered tenants on the PAM report?
