Ensure that air vents and cooling fins are clear and that the fan cowl and fan are not damaged

Ensure that the terminal box is secure and water resistant

If an ammeter is fitted, check the running load.

Ensure blanking plates are fitted where necessary

Ensure glands and shrouds are in good order

Ensure all covers are fitted, in good order and secure, and that seals are efficient

Ensure identification labels are fitted and correct

Ensure enclosure is not corroded and is fit for purpose

Ensure that any redundant electrical equipment has been removed or properly labelled. Open ended redundant cables shall be capped off or removed
