Radius Bender

  • Name of Equipment

  • Are TM hands free during the bending operation. No interaction with the bar during the bending with exception of when guides or ramps are not capable of feeding the bar back through the rollers. This interaction must be done with a no touch tool.

  • All manufacture features that allow the disabling of any safety devices (guard, safety switch, etc.) must be completely removed. Example would be spiral feature on a Schnell RB which allows for equipment to run without the guards in place.

  • No automatic modes where the machine can continuously run? Must be actuated by a trigger.

  • All Radius benders to have infeed and exit areas guarded by 48" from point of operation?

  • Are the back side of the radius benders are also to be closed/guarded to prevent any reach in during operation?

  • All radius benders must have directional indicators or lights installed to identify which direction the bar will be traveling?

  • Is there another radius bender?
