  • 1) Turn 'off' button to 'A' setting for general sounds level measurement

  • 2) Select 'F' button for a fast normal measurement reading

  • 3) Select the green 'Hi' button (displayed on the screen)

  • 4) Press 'max' button to measure levels of sound

  • 5) Maximum sound level (db) is displayed on the screen

  • 6) Press the 'max' button again and walk away from the noise source to measure the distance to where 85 db or less is shown.
