  • The 'help yourself to milk and sugar' display is clearly stocked and signposted.

  • The patio has been swept and ashtrays are out on clean tables.

  • Swing boards are outside in their usual places.

  • The entrance pathway is clear of any litter, fag-buts or debris from the night before.

  • Toilets are unlocked and clean and presentable.

Checklists and Testing

  • The patio gate is closing with the magnet installed.

  • The TV screens are working and displayed Union adverts.

  • All fairy lights are on and in working order.

  • All fridge lights are on and in working order.

  • The speakers (both left and right hand side) are working normally and at a suitable volume for lunch-time trade.

  • Both pool tables are ready for use and in full working order.

  • The cellar is recording a temperature of between 11 and 14 degrees.

  • The cooler is recording an appropriate temperature of between -2 and 1 degrees.

  • Gas levels from each canister are high enough to last the week.

  • Both bar printers are on and in full working order.

  • The kitchen printer is able to receive orders from the front tills.

  • Daily cleaning for the previous week has been marked as complete.

  • Weekly cleaning for the previous week has been marked as complete.

  • Toilet checks for the previous week have been marked as complete.

Cleaning

  • The glasswasher is running hot and is clean both inside and out.

  • The cold cellar has been mopped and the floor is dry.

  • The shelves below the bar are clean and clear and neatly arranged.

  • The shelves to the side are clean and neatly arranged.

  • Soap and hand towel dispensers are full.

  • Taps and fonts are clean and free of any beer residue.

  • Bar fridges are generally clean inside and out.

  • Ice machine is clean and free of any pink residue.

  • The cleaning cupboard is clean and tidy.

  • The back milk fridge is clean and in working order.

  • The back alley and fire exit is clean and clear.

  • Barrels are stacked neatly (and no more than two high) and the gated area is clean and clear.

  • The outside container has been recently swept and is clean.

Stock Check

  • Keg barrels are lined up in the correct date order.

  • Bar snacks are clearly dated and have been rotated in the cellar.

  • All snacks on offer are currently on display to sell.

  • Stock in the dry cellar (cans/bottles) have been clearly rotated and are stored neatly.

  • Any products going out of date soon are visible and/or on offer.

  • We are fully stocked with the appropriate spirits, fruit and cocktail garnishes/ingredients ready for Cocktail Night tomorrow evening.

  • The Drink of the Week board has been updated and has corresponding till buttons to match.

  • There is enough pool chalk and cue tips.

  • There is enough till roll to last the week.

Pest Control Checks

  • The following areas are clean and clear of any pest control activity? (e.g. sightings, droppings, nesting etc.)
    If recording no please share details immediately with bar manager.
