Practical Drill Evolution

  • Part 1: House Fire, Persons reported
    With a crew of 4 if working from hydrant supply
    If no hydrant supply available, use crew of 5 and portable pump working from open water
    Working from water supply, through flaked feeder, throught the pump, a LPD to the objective
    Hydrant within one length, objective within 30m
    Officer to carry out size up (360/Interview/Hazard Assessment)
    Hose crew to establish LPD with bight and carry out pre entry checks. (Flow, pattern)
    Hose crew to don and start up and make entry,
    Full ECO
    Time #1 at crew making entry
    Time #2 when tank refilled

    Part2: Mayday Procedure
    On completion of part 1 Instruct crew to declare a Mayday
