  If a Health and Safety breach is committed in the first instance, a verbal warning will be given. In the second instance the operative will be asked if he wishes to receive a yellow card ( minor infraction, no immediate physical danger to operative or others ) or to go home that day, not come to work the following day therefore losing a days pay. If the the operative goes home,the following time a breach is committed a yellow card will be issued. A red card ( major infraction immediate physical danger to operative or others) will be issued if the offence is repeated or if it is of a serious nature. The operative will be immediately removed from site and, in most cases, banned not only from site but from all the principal contractors sites.
