A. General Requirements for Cords and Power Tools

  • 1. Tools are kept in good condition with regular maintenance

  • 2. Tools are used according to the proper function and purpose

  • 3. Tools are examined for damage before use

  • 5. Damaged or unsafe tools are taken out of service

B. Electric Powered Tools

  • 1. Tools have a three-wire cord with a ground or double insulated.

  • 2. Cords are in good condition without frays or deterioration

D. Electrical Cords

  • 1. Cords have no visible damage, sheathing is not cut, no exposed wire or frayed

  • 2. Plug end prongs are not missing, bent or broken

  • 3. Plug ends are not separated from cord sheathing or insulation

  • 4. Cords do not have breaks, kinks or twists that may expose wires

  • 5. Damaged or unsafe cords are taken out of service
