Site entry and boundaries

  • Is the access to the site adequate, safe and not posing risks to workers and the general public?

  • Is the shake down adequate and in good working order?

  • Are site vehicles taking mud and dirt onto public roads?

  • Is material handling equipment available if needed and in safe working order?

Operation

  • Are plant and equipment operations managed and working as expected?

  • Is everyone working on site inducted (including both a site induction and WMS induction)?

  • Do we have current copies of the sub-contractors insurance details, including Workcover?

  • Are all works covered under and approved WMS?

  • If excavation is taking place, is it covered under a current permit to excavate?

  • Have all services been identified, located and isolated (if applicable)?

  • Is there a requirement for a defined spotter?

  • Have all relevant workers reviewed and signed onto the permit to excavate?

  • Is there a copy of the permit to excavate at the location of the excavation and the site office?

  • If confined space works is being performed, is the a current confined space entry permit in place?

  • Is there any work near overhead services?

  • Is any maintenance of mobile equipment being performed on site? If yes has a WMS been provided and approved?

  • Has all mobile plant been approved for use on site?

  • Have all mobile plant daily check sheets been completed?

Environment

  • Are sediment ponds and dams in good working condition?

  • Are there any cultural heritage constraints present? If yes, are they being managed?

  • Is there a well stocked spill kit on site ready for use?

  • Is there an M.S.D.S for all chemicals being used on site?

  • Are there dust controls in place?

  • Is noise monitoring required?

  • Has an adequate rubbish bin been provided?

  • Does the rubbish bin need emptying?

  • Is the general housekeeping standard on the site acceptable?

  • Has any plant and equipment been refueled or serviced on site? If yes, has it been done without any environmental harm
