Air Brake Inspection

  • Does Air Pressure Build Up to 85-100 PSI less than 45 seconds?

  • Does Air Compressor Cut IN Just Above 100 PSI?

  • Does Air Compressor Cut OUT Between 120-130 PSI?

  • With Engine Off, and Foot OFF Brake. Is there Audible Leakage? Does it loose more than 2 PSI in 30 Seconds?

  • Press Foot on Brake. Is there Audible Leakage? Does it loose more than 3 PSI in 30 Seconds?

  • Pump Brake down to check Warning Light and Alarm. Does the Low Air Warning Come Around 65 PSI? +/- 10 PSI.

  • Hold Foot on Brake. Release Parking Brake. Pump Brakes down to between 20-40 PSI. Does the Parking Brake Pop out?

  • Recharge Air System to Above 100 PSI. Put Truck in Drive with Parking Brake Engaged. Does the Brake Hold With Engine Tug of 800-1000 RPM?

  • Release Parking Brake and Move Forward Less than 5 MPH and Test Service Brake. Does the Service Brake Adequately Stop the Truck?
