Espresso Machine

Steam Wands

  • Check steam wand tips are clean, clear and tight

  • Top of steam wand is correctly tightened and not leaking, not scale or rust build up

  • Steam want turns off and on correctly

  • Pressure Test <br>With Steam boiler set at 126 C you can heat 400g of water from 5c to 60c in 25-30sec<br>

Group Heads

  • All brew heads are set to 9bar of pressure<br>Use scace to measure this.

  • All 6 showerscreens and screws un-damaged and accounted for

  • All 6 heads levers and switches tight, working and safe

Porta Filters

  • All handles are un cracked, lugs in good condition, spouts and spout seals in working order

  • VST baskets un cracked, rim and bottom not dented

  • Brew head seals clean, sealing properly when group handel locked in at 90 degrees to machine

Electrical Box Inspection

  • Ensure electrical box is clean and dry

  • Inspect & clean temp probe connections

Hot Water

  • Hot water switches working

  • All taps free of leaks

  • Scale build up in sightglass, around overflow valuves

  • Inspect all hose connections Including water and drainage hoses.<br>Any leaks or scale build up?

  • Drains are unblocked, not leaking

Driptray Scales

  • All three scales zero when head is turned on

  • All three scales are calibrated.<br>When 100g weight is placed on scale, scale reads with in 0.05g of 100g.

Grinders

Grinder Maintanance Check

  • Grinder #1EK43 Start Maintenance check

  • Turns on and off safely and effectively.

  • UNPLUG GRINDER FROM WALL!!

  • All 4 grinder feet in place, grinder level

  • Bag holder in good working order with all 5 springs, 4 screws, static rod, rubber knocker.

  • Grinder Adjustment dial is working correctly, uncracked with 2 screws and two bolts

  • Hopper is uncracked, properly attached to adapter, all 4 pins in place, slider working effectivly

  • Two screws that hold burr set cover on are in near perfect condition

Take Grinder burr set apart to clean and inspect.

1. Rotate the rotary knob to „coarse". 2.Unscrew the two screws on the grinder casing cover and then remove this cover. 3.Take the shear plate out of the slot of the pre-breaker. 4.Pull the pre-breaker off the motor shaft. Use a screw driv-er. 5.Clean the grinding mechanism with a fine brush and remove any foreign objects.

  • Shear plate uncracked, intact and in good condition.

  • Screws holding burr set in place in near perfect condition

  • Has the burr set been replaced within the last 6 months (check date on bottom of grinder)

  • Is burr set Sharp and free of and nicks?

6. Before pushing the pre-breaker (9) back onto the shaft again,lubricate the shaft with non-corrosive, resin-free and food-stuff- compatible grease (e.g. Vaseline). 7.After you have pushed the pre-breaker onto the shaft, line up the two slots so that you can then easily re-insert shear plate.The rounded side of the shear plate must point to-wards the motor. 8.Clean the contact surfaces of the grinder casing and grinder casing cover carefully in order to remove any form of soil-ing. During re-assembly, no ground material should stick to the surfaces where the grinder casing and the cover touch. 9. Screw down the cover tightly with the two screws while changing the side several times. 10. Plug in and turn on grinder. 11. Rotate the rotary knob to the desired grind degree. The grinder is now ready for operation again.
