Checklist

Check the following before using this hoist – If Unsafe do not use – stop and tag out.

  • 1 Inspect the condition of lifting pads to ensure they are not worn, split, broken, or cracked.

  • 2 Operation of controls clearly labelled and working correctly (test function without load). Including SWL displayed.

  • 3 Safety devices in good condition, including any guard properly fitted.

  • 4 Visually inspect hoist structure for any signs damage, wear, or cracking.

  • 5 Visually check hoist for air or hydraulic leaks.

  • 6 Visually check for any loose or missing components.

  • 7 Access and clearance area kept clear e.g. no obstructions in area.

  • 8 Check lifting arm lock operation where applicable.

  • 9 The area is clean and free of oil or objects that could cause a slip or fall.

  • 10 Ensure appropriate protective clothing is worn when working around or operating the hoist.

  • 11 Do not allow people or animals to remain in vehicles when raising the vehicle.

  • NOTE: If the vehicle tilts or leans stop immediately do attempt to support vehicle with your hand.
