  • Check vehicle exterior is clean, damage free and with all glazing intact

  • Check all external fittings are present and secure

  • Check the covers are present on all external door manual release 'switches'

  • Check for signs of coolant leakage on the floor of each battery pack

  • Check the Adblue levels in each powerpack and top up if necessary

  • Check for oil leaks on the ground

  • Fuel connection check - ensure all fuel connections are drip free and no fuel leaks evident

  • Check the fuel level - on the sight glass

  • Intrusion check - Check that the powerpacks are free from intrusion by animals or weeds, etc

  • Check the air-conditioner drainage holes (2 each end) for proper cleanliness

  • Check wheels for obvious visual damage and as far as possible for flatspots

  • Look for lost / broken bolts / nuts

  • Check condition and position of lifeguards

  • Check and maintain the air-conditioning in accordance with Guchen schedules

  • Remove dirt, leaves and other foreign objects from the roof (especially air-conditioners)

  • Check all visible fasteners torque stropes

  • Check the overall conditions of the bogies (scratches, notches or other defects)

  • Check the bogies for missing components

  • Check the Drive train fixings (brakes and driveshafts)

  • Check the Parker clamp fixings

  • Check all couplings and connections

  • Check all cables and pipe conditions

  • Visually check springs for damage

  • Check the Power pack oil level

  • Drive train fixings check added to weekly check (brakes and driveshafts)

  • Check the coolant level and top up if necessary

  • Check the level in the washer bottle

  • Remove wheel chocks and bring up the LV and HV on the Driver Display Screen - WITH VEHICLE MOVING SLOWLY (around 3mph)

  • Make sure that vehicle moves both forward and reverse

  • Test the friction brakes individually (method according to the software routine)

  • Stop the vehicle once using the emergency stop system (speed...)

All above checks complete and vehicle fit for service
