Safe Working Practice for LPG Blow Heater for Pre-warming Paint-spray booth.

Connecting the LPG Cylinder.

  • Ensure that PPE Leather cloves are worn when connecting or disconnecting the coupling device from the LPG cylinder.

  • Ensure that PPE goggles or face shield is worn when connecting or disconnecting the coupling device from the LPG cylinder.

Blow Heater Safe Operation.

  • Only competent and trained employees are authorised to operate the LPG blow heater at any time.

  • Prior to operation all valves and hoses must be checked for leakage and serviceability.

Paint booth warm up.

  • Prior to warming up the paint booth the area must be checked for any combustible material, if any material is found it must be removed prior to start up.

  • Once the paint booth is at the optimum temperature the LPG heater must be powered off and removed to a safe area away from any combustible material.

  • The heater must be put into a quarantine area so as not to be a hazard to employees, contractors or members of the public.

  • The LPG heater and equipment must be moved to an area where it will not cause trip hazards.
