Inspection Questions

Interior Warehouse

Any evidence of spilled, damaged, or nonconforming product outside of designated damages / Hold area?
Any evidence of broken glass or brittle plastics?
Is the perimeter sanitation line clean, free of debris, and walkable (No blocked areas)?
Any evidence of overflowing trash cans or excessive waste/debris in warehouse?
Is the racking free of excessive dust, debris, and structural damage?
Are interior walls free of damage?
Are product pallets in good condition, no indication of pests, and free of open product spillage, or offensive odors? (All damaged pallets removed from production and stored in proper damage location)
Any evidence of food wrappers or drink containers (water excluded) present in warehouse? (Check trash cans, floor, any desks or storage cabinet drawers in warehouse)
Are man door seals are in good condition with no light showing through?
Are dock door brush/seals in good condition and no light showing through?
Are all interior traps accounted for, in their proper location, and not damaged?
Are interior traps free of cobwebs, free of debris blocking entry, clean and signs of infestation?
Any evidence of roof leaks or ceiling insulation exposed?
Site Security: Are visitors following proper visitor protocol? (Review visitor logs)

Are dock shelters in good condition, with no tears, holes, etc. that could affect product quality during loading and unloading?
Is the exterior of the facility free of excessive debris and structural damage?
Is any landscaping or other vegetation touching the building?
Are all exterior traps accounted for, in their proper location, and not damaged? (Review trap map in pest control binder)
Are exterior traps secure, free of debris blocking entry, with no signs of infestation?
Site Security: Are all dock doors/man doors closed and secure when not in use? Any structural integrity or security issues that could allow anyone not permitted into the building?

Is the Sanitation/Chemical storage area designated, clean, and organized?
Are all sanitation chemicals, purfumes, soaps, etc. listed on the approved chemical list? (Select a different chemical each time and verify it is on the list)
Are there any items in the sanitation closet that shouldn’t be? (Employee personal items, anything that doesn’t pertain to sanitation)
Are all chemicals and spray bottles in the facility labeled and stored correctly?

Are employee lockers clean and no open food/drinks stored inside?
Are refrigerators / sinks / water dispensors / ice machines in good working condition with no leaks?
Are all bathrooms and breakrooms clean with toiletries available?
Do all restroom sinks achieve hot water within 1 minute of turning on?
Is there evidence of unsecured chemicals in the cabinets / drawers / under sink?
Is the breakroom sink labeled as hand washing and/or utility sink only? (Only required in AIB audited facilities)
Is there any open food or drink items in the cabinets / drawers?
Are refrigerators / freezers clean?

Are employee training records current? (GMP and On The Job Training)
Are there any pest control trends? (Check binder for recent activity and review most recent pest control recommendations email)
Are sanitation logs current and signed-off, including any supplementary documents? (Supplementary Documents: chemical concentration logs, etc.)
Are trailer inspections complete on all Inbound and Outbound shipments with proper documentation practices? (Verify two most recent shipments for both Inbound and Outbound)
Check previous self inspection form and see if any open action items need to be followed up on? (Review Evidence tab for any pending corrective actions)
