  • Barbed wire should have 3 braces in place, razor wire should be in place on top

Does the fence show evidence of tampering or deliberate damage

  • Has anyone or anything interfered with the fence

Are there any holes in the fence

  • Any holes in the fence large enough to fit your hand require action and repair

Is the fence properly affixed / buried into the ground

  • The fence line should be either buried or fixed to the ground and unable to lift

Is the fence line clear of undergrowth or foliage growing through or over the fence

  • Shrubs and bushes growing through the fence damage its integrity

Is the 3 metre clear zone observed on both side of the fence in unmanned areas?

  • No climbing aids should be available on either side of the fence in unmanned areas.

Is anti personnel mesh intact and secured to main fence

  • Any areas where mesh is unsecured? Any rips, tears or gaps in the mesh

Any other faults

  • Any other issues that would make the fence insecure

  • Person completing inspection
