Getting to the Workplace:

  • Have the team got all their PPE?

  • Been inducted onto and signed into site?

  • Have we got the necessary permits to work and understand how to close them out?

  • Do all of the team understand any site specific site rules, site specific hazards , evacuation routes, alarms and emergency procedures?

  • Are all the site facilites adequate? (eg Parking, deliveries, storage, waste facilties , first aid, welfare facilites)

At the Workplace:

  • Are all the necessary personal and collective fall protection measures in place ?

  • Sites change. Are the RAMS you hold and have signed onto , still relevant to the task and the site?

  • Have the team got the right PPE for the task?

  • Are all of our work equipment and tools suitable, inspected and certified (where required), in serviceable condition, and appropriate for the task ?

  • Considering the weather, working conditions , other trades and the activities of others, is the work environment a safe place to work for ourselves and others?

  • Do all of the site team understand the work tasks to be performed and understand all of the necessary drawings and specificaitons?

  • Are we keeping our work area tidy ,and are there provisions for keeping the site tidy?
