Introduction

  • All factories within the VPK packaging group have a commitment to ensure that they are a safe place to work.
    Each factory site has to comply or is working towards compliance with the 6 Steps for safety strategy, which involves having in place;
    1. Safe environment.
    2. Safe machinery and equipment.
    3. Safety policy, plans, risk assessments, systems of working, supervision and training.
    4. Safety inspections and monitoring.
    5. Safety audits and reviews.
    6. Safe worker.
    This safety strategy will ensure that the company;
    *Meets its moral obligation to our employees; visitors and contractors to ensure their health, safety and welfare.
    *Will prevent breaches of health and safety legislation.
    *Will prevent unnecessary costs associated with accidents and incidents.
    The VPK group believes that “No job is so important that it can’t be done safely”.
