Pre-work checks

  • 1: REVISION CONTROL OF METHOD STATEMENT

  • If, for ANY reason, the installation is unable to continue as stated in this document, work will cease and a reassessment will be carried out to determine the best course of action to be taken. At all times the store manager will be kept informed.

  • 2: SAFE AREA CHECK

  • Check the areas of work are clear of hazards and obstructions. If required, contact the shop manager/ supervisor for assistance.

  • 3: INSPECTION AND TEST PLAN

  • All components will be checked at point of delivery for both quality and quantity prior to installation. Once installed, all working components will be checked for correct operation and adjusted where necessary. In the event of a faulty component following a final check, arrangements will be made to replace or repair.

  • 4: EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

  • Accident Reporting, Fire Exits and Alarms: Emergency procedures will be carried out in accordance with the Store Safety and Emergency procedure as instructed upon arrival by main contractor or store duty manager. Report all injuries and dangerous occurrences to your Supervisor.
