General inspection

  • Check all hardware is tight

  • Inspect for any damaged components

  • Run the slasher to check for vibrations

PTO SHAFT

  • Grease the PTO shaft at location points (F-1)

Gearbox oil level (F2)

  • Check gear box oil. Use SAE 85-140 gear oil (not necessary to change)<br>WARNING: Gearbox becomes hot during operation

  • Raise slasher, switch off engine, inspect underneath<br>(use support under the slasher do not rely upon the tractor hydraulics

Blades

  • Inspect blades and bolts

  • Inspect from rear with tractor ENGINE OFF & PARK BRAKE ON, slasher lowered to the ground so it rests on skids

  • If excessive wear or damage, replace blades

  • New blades to be replaced in pairs to maintain correct balance

  • If blades are changed ensure bolts are secure and test for vibration

  • Photos required for report

  • Select date
