Forklift trucks

  • Has "thorough examination' been carried out (full Loler examination)

ENVIRONMENT

  • External Area (fence/yard/landscape) is fence secure

  • Is workplace including yard area free from pollution (major spillages must be reported)

  • Waste storage (Oils, Batteries,Skips) is area kept clean, is batteries secure from theft

  • Drainage is drains marked as they should be, is any drains collapsed or collapsing

  • Is Oil and fuel tanks secure, is the binding adequate and not fill of water

  • Is oil and fuel tank and pipework free from leaks

  • Oil & Fuel Tank Gauges/pipework must be in good working order and free from leaks

  • Gas cylinder storage secure with bottles chained/caged

  • Exhaust extraction used as required

  • Are spill kits secure, is the contents still there with no rubbish dropped in the bins

  • Drum storage all 205 litre drums must be stored on a drip tray or bunded area

  • IBC's must be stored in bunded area or on a 1000ltr drip tray/bund
