SCAFFOLDING INSPECTION

A suitably trained, qualified and competent person will carry out at least weekly inspections of all scaffolds as detailed in this document in pursuance of Work at Height Regulations 2005. A handover certificate must be obtained from the scaffolding company, scaffolding should not be used without a handover certificate. Scaffolds will be inspected every seven days and following high winds, adverse weather conditions, substantial addition, dismantling or alteration and after any other event likely to have affected the strength or stability. The scaffold should not be used until all observations identified have been rectified by a competent contractor and scaffolding has been re-inspected. All inspections are to be carried out in line with Safe Working Practices and Risk Assessments. Checks should only be completed from safe working areas.
