Switch Board Inspection & Test

Visual Inspection prior to energisation. Please add photos to each question where practicable.

  • Inspect switchboard for damage. Is switchboard in good condition?

Testing

Measure voltage at SPD. Ensure all CBs, Main Switch and outgoing circuits are in the Off position before testing. Please investigate any abnormal readings.

  • Q1 current setting

  • Does Customer SPD grade with Western Power's upstream protection as noted on Western Power's SLD?

  • Verify that Short circuit/Instantaneous setting of Q1 is set lower than value of Prospective Short Circuit value as per our test results

  • Seal settings window of Q1 using copper strand and a bootlace. Set phone to datestamp and add photo of sealed settings

  • Q2 current setting

  • Q3 current setting

  • Q4 current setting (if applicable)

Close out. Leave all outgoing CBs in off position until ready to energise final circuits

  • Comments (tagged, locked out, etc). Please note any works that are incomplete out in the field and ensure relevant CBs are locked/tagged out.
