ACCESS

CUSTOMER ACCESS

  • PACNET is committed in delivering the latest in Data Center compliance and OH&S standards. This is to ensure that all persons within PACNET's' premises are familiar with the site Rules and Regulations, OH&S best practice and Emergency procedures.

Site Induction is MANDATORY to new customers and to anyone who has never accessed our Data centre before. All non-inducted visitors need to be escorted for the duration of their time in the facility.

As part of the induction process, your credentials will need to be enrolled in our security system. A photograph and a scan of your fingerprint is required to gain access to the Data Centre. All key access points to the Data Center are equipped with a combination of industry standard card swipe readers and Biometric scanners. Your photograph will be used to produce a PACNET Identification Card embedded with your fingerprint profile for an added layer of security.

All issued security cards need to be surrendered back to Security Desk at the end of every visit. Lost, misplaced or stolen Access cards need to be reported to security immediately.

Please Note: All site access to the facility require prior notification to our onsite Security / Support Engineers and should be accompanied by a valid Support Ticket. You can arrange this through our Customer Support Number provided by your PACNET Account manager. Failure to do so may result in access being delayed or denied. All visitor Access to the Data Center needs to be verified with the Authorization List you have provided PACNET.

AUTHORIZATION LIST FOR CONTRACTOR AND VISITOR ACCESS

  • Your welcome package includes all the necessary documentation required to get you started at the time you decide to come in for a visit or install equipment into your allocated space. These documents should include a Client Authorization list which you will need to fill in and send back to PACNET so we can include it in our security check list.

It is the sole responsibility of the Client to provide PACNET their latest copy of Authorization List. PACNET highly recommend Key Account Holders to review and verify any changes in their list on a regular basis and ensure PACNET is notified. This is to make sure that only nominated persons in your list are granted access to your equipment.

It is also possible to authorize contractors and visitors to access your cage, cabinet/s and equipment in your behalf provided that they have written/electronic approval from yourself or anyone listed with grant privilege in your Authorization List. This can be arranged through our Client Support Number where a reference ticket will be provided for your request.

Upon arrival, your visitors are required to present a VALID form of Government-issued Photographic Identification (i.e. Drivers License, Passport, etc.) to our Security Personnel for verification. Authorized visitors will be issued a temporary pass and they will need to be escorted to your allocated space.

DATA CENTRE TOURS

  • An authorized customer is allowed to bring visitors to our site by acting as their tour sponsor. All visitors are required to sign-in at the Pacnet Security Desk and escorts will be arranged for the tour. Please contact the Pacnet Service Center to schedule a Data Center tour.

Access is controlled via a combination of biometric readers and security cards for PACNET SYCS1 Facility. DELIVERIES AND EQUIPMENT REMOVAL

INBOUND AND OUTBOUND DELIVERIES

  • Our Data Centers are equipped with loading/unloading facilities to provide easy access for your equipment to the co-location areas. Our loading bays are available during business hours from Monday–Friday, 9am-5pm. Accompanied deliveries during business hours do not need prior notification. If you are preparing for a particularly large installation, our implementation team will work with you to ensure a smooth delivery process.

Arrangements can be made for loading/unloading access outside of business hours and we may agree to accept a delivery on your behalf as required. Please contact the Pacnet Service Center for details.

Please note that deliveries made to a Data Center without advanced notice create a security concern. Although our technicians will try to identify the shipping customer, this is not always possible using information from the delivery documentation. If we are unable to ascertain the owner of the equipment, we may not be able to accept the delivery.

When notifying Pacnet of your delivery, please be ready to provide the following information:

    • Schedule of delivery
    • Courier company name
    • Company name of recipient of the shipment
    • Shipment description (size, number of packages/boxes/pallets)

To avoid delivery delays, please ensure that you use your own entity name, or nominated subcontractor’s entity’s name, for clearance and declaration and work with your shipping company or freight expeditor to guarantee that all fees (e.g., duties import charges) are paid for and paperwork is in order.
