  • READ TO CANDIDATE: Demonstrate the process of Synchronized Cardioversion on a simulated Adult patient with unstable, pulsatile, Ventricular Tachycardia, using the given equipment

  • Properly applies combo patches (A/P method preferred, either method below is acceptable) <br>A/P Method-Anterior Patch with center of patch at V4 location, mid-clavicular line, Posterior Patch to Left of spine, below scapula <br>A/L Method-Anterior electrode below Right clavicle just to Right of sternum, Lateral electrode on lower rib margin with center at V6 position

  • Activates Synchronization mode

  • Verbalizes presence of sync marks above every QRS complex <br> (If not verbalized, Evaluator my ask Candidate "How do you know the monitor is sensing the cardiac rhythm?")

  • Selects appropriate energy level (Candidate may consult JoCo EMS Field Reference Guide)

  • Charges defibrillator

  • Clears the patient

  • Delivers shock

  • Successfully completed all steps
