Part II - Primary Checklist

1. Mechanical Section [Motor/Pump/Air Distribution]

  • a. Physical condition including panel, casing, interface devices/gauges, lock/latches.

  • b. Excessive Vibration / Noise [High decibel]

  • c. Parameters for voltage, current, temperature and pressure with in the range.

  • d. Leak/spill: CHW/cooling medium, refrigerant, oil, grease, chemicals

2. Electrical Section [Cabinet/Board/Devices]

  • a. Condition of expose power cables must free from cuts, damages and protected.

  • b. Connections are properly made and used appropriate plugs

  • c. Electrical cabinet: panel, guard/cover are in place. Check for damages, cracked, loose knob/latch

  • d. Control panel digital display, ELCB/RCD protection functionality.

  • e. Open or loose cable installations, convenient outlet and terminal cover.

  • e. Condition of interfaced fire alarm devices; smoke detector, speakers, switches and sounder [Optional: functionality]

  • f. Availability of fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipment.

3. Plumbing Section [Pipe Network]

  • a. Damaged or leak pipe for water supply, condensate and waste line

  • b. Floor: Sign of overflow and floor dampness

  • c. Fixtures like taps and other water source

4. Room Condition [Partly CIV]

  • a. Room temperature [ideal: 24'C] with proper ventilation.

  • b. Adequate Lighting/luminance

  • c. Doors and automatic door lock functionality

  • d. Ensure accessibility and avoid obstructions

  • Damaged or broken machine platform/enclosure/guard/isolator vibration

  • e. Ceiling/Walls/Floor for cracks, gaps, holes [Optional: painting]

5. Roof Top

  • a. Roof surface is in good condition

  • b. Evidence of water leak or damaged membrane [water proofing]

  • c. Roof drains are cleared of trash to avoid blockage

  • d. Protection rails, footway, walkways are safe and stable

6. Quality, Health, Safety and Environment

  • a. Ladders in good condition and inspected prior to do task. Old and damaged ladder must tag and move out of plant room.

  • b. Ensure elevated or double height platform assembly in good condition

  • C. Availability of first aid kit, eye wash [consumption date]

  • d. Availability of respiratory mask, ear muff

  • e. Emergency sign in place and illuminated

  • f. Unauthorized sign displayed

  • g. Dangerous, caution, PPE signs displayed

  • h. Lock-out and Tag-out sign available

  • i. Ensure availability of notice board for safety guidelines, emergency escalation, log sheets and SOP's

7. Housekeeping

  • a. Room floors free from dust, dampness, oil and grease

  • b. Ensure all flammable container properly closed/covered to control vapors

  • c. Clear-off excess or unwanted materials to avoid obstruction

  • d. No explosive materials stored

  • Plant Room is neat and clean

Part III - Items

8. Scaffoldings and MEWP

  • a. Guardrails, toe-boards and cross-braces are installed

  • b. Wheel castors locked in position whilst in use

  • c. Stable, rigid footing for scaffolding

  • d. MEWPs are in good condition and must use by trained employee only
