Opening Tasks 08:00am

  • Outside club free of any clutter and clean

  • Reset intruder alarm

  • Switch lights on

  • Read any handover issues from previous night Duty Log

  • Check no issues in Dan's office. Boilers working and Pool plant operational

  • No maintenance issues in pool area.

  • Complete pre opening pool test

  • Turn on sauna and steam room and complete checks

  • Check all First aid boxes and defibs are operational

  • Ladies locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Men's locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Check cleanliness inside all lockers

  • Check no lockers are locked from the previous night

  • Turn on music around club and set correct levels

  • Ensure concierge team have CCTV computer on pool

  • Check the concierge is fully set up, tidy and no issues

  • Ensure newspapers are up to date and displayed on the concierge

  • Check all gym areas are set up and make sure all equipment is turned on and operational.

  • Check all studios are set up (Brewer studio as per SOP, hot class?)

  • Log and report any maintenance issues from open. Report to Dan, Vinnie and Daren

  • Distribute walkie talkies and panic alarm pagers

Opening safety checks

  • All fire extinguishers in place/usable

  • Check all fire exits are clear and safe (fire door freely opening and left closed)

  • Check for any accumulated build up of storage - combustible materials etc

  • Check fire panel for any potential issues

  • E/M/L fire walk round and sign daily DM fire checks form

  • No issues in medical centre and ok to open

  • Check gym areas and studios are in a safe condition

  • Check changing room areas are in a safe condition

  • Add signature

08:00 - 10:00

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Number of clean towel bags

  • Note number

  • Check towels are stored safely

  • Collect lost property from the changing rooms and and take to concierge

10:00 - 12:00

  • 10:00 pool test to be completed

  • 10:00 sauna and steam checks: fully operational, any lighting or maintenance issues

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Ladies locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Men's locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

12:00 - 14:00

  • 12:00 pool test to be completed

  • 12:00 sauna and steam checks: fully operational, any lighting or maintenance issues

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Collect and distribute post

  • Check concierge till balance at handover

  • Log and report any maintenance issues

  • Handover to late DM

  • Handover notes

  • Sign once handover is completed

Midday safety checks

  • All fire extinguishers in place/usable

  • Check all fire exits are clear and safe (fire door freely opening and left closed)

  • Check for any accumulated build up of storage - combustible materials etc

  • Check fire panel for any potential issues

  • Fire evacuation designation

  • Check gym areas and studios are in a safe condition

  • Check changing room areas are in a safe condition

  • Add signature

14:00 - 16:00

  • 14:00 pool test to be completed

  • 14:00 sauna and steam checks: fully operational, any lighting or maintenance issues

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Ladies locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Men's locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

16:00 - 18:00

  • 16:00 pool test to be completed <br>

  • 16:00 sauna and steam checks: fully operational, any lighting or maintenance issues

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Ladies locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Men's locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

18:00 - 20:00

  • 18:00 pool checks to be completed

  • 18:00 sauna and steam checks: fully operational, any lighting or maintenance issues

  • Number of clean towel bags

  • Note number

  • Ladies locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Men's locker room checks - showers sinks - toilets - amenities topped up

  • Ensure towel shelves are stocked

  • Check towels are stored safely

  • Check air conditioning in studios is switched off

  • DM tour of the club

  • Check incoming chilled water (should be 8.5 - 9.0)

  • Collect lost property from the changing rooms and and take to concierge

Club close

  • Turn off music

  • Check no lockers are locked

  • Ensure hot yoga is turned off

  • Turn off sauna and steam and check for safety

  • Ensure the gym is shut down (AC off and gym equipment off)

  • Ensure NFF stockroom is locked

  • Place walkie talkies on charge switched off

  • Put sales laptops and panic alarm pagers in the office safe

  • Log and report any maintenance issues upon close

Closing safety checks

  • All fire extinguishers in place/usable

  • Check all fire exits are clear and safe (fire door freely opening and left closed)

  • Check for any accumulated build up of storage - combustible materials etc

  • Check fire panel for any potential issues

  • Check gym areas and studios are in a safe condition

  • Check changing room areas are in a safe condition

  • Check non essential electrical items are switched off

  • Add signature

Once completed please email to Operations Manager and General Manager

  • Complete Duty log and send to Vinnie, Daren, William, John Penny, Steve Mason, Next day open DM. (Rota printed and in office)

  • Closing handover notes (Duty Log completed and sent)
