TCP Firing Head

  • Correct firing head used for TCP application (i.e. Pressure Activated, Auto-Vent, Percussion, etc...)

  • TCP firing head calculator used to determine correct number of pins to use on a pressure activated TCP based on well bore conditions? (i.e. Fluid type, fluid level, depth at top shot, etc.)

  • Firing head pressure is above 1000psi safety factor and meets clients request for activation pressure at surface and at firing head?

  • Was a complete rebuild of the firing head completed? (This includes o-rings, firing pin (if applicable), Teflon seals (if applicable))

Tubing Drain

  • Was a complete rebuild of the tubing drain completed? (This includes o-rings, Teflon seals (if applicable))

  • Correct size of tubing drain selected for casing size it's being ran in?

  • Correct number of pins used in tubing drain based on well bore conditions? (i.e. Fluid Type, fluid level, depth. etc.)

  • Correct pins used from proper manufacturer to match the tubing drain being ran?

TCP Equipment and Jewelry

  • Correct length and style of drop bar selected based on clients request? (if Applicable)

  • Correct jewelry selected for TCP type and application? (i.e. Fill Flow Sub, Separation Sub, Ported Differential, Non-Ported Differential, Kobes Sub)

  • Is a tubing swivel required for the TCP application?

  • If so, if the tubing swivel the proper one being used for the size and drift of casing that it is being ran in?

  • Have all equipment bring ran in the well bore been calipered to ensure it is the correct size for the casing in which it is being ran? (Note: Must ensure all equipment is slightly below drift of the casing, not the ID of the casing)

Perforating Guns

  • Is the correct c-plate used for TCP application?

  • Is a DOG COLLAR required for the job?

  • If so, is the correct size being used for the size of guns being used on the TCP?

  • Are orientation fins required for this TCP application?

  • If so, is there a fin welded to the top section on 1/3 of the guns being deployed in the well bore?

  • Are the fins welded in a manner to allow proper orientation? (1.e. 90/270, 150/210, etc.)

  • Is a debris magnet required on this TCP job?

  • If so, is the correct bottom sub selected that will allow the magnet to be connected to the bottom most gun?
