Hi All

we had a very serious near miss occur this week, whilst extracting a property for Bromford the client experienced ingress inside the property, upon further investigation is was identified that there was a electric box situated inside the cavity with the only access to this through a cupboard door behind a chair which was missed on the pre-checks. the crew drilled very close to the electric box. if the crew had drilled into the electrical unit then this would have been a very serious incident that could have resulted in someone being seriously injured. for this reason we have now introduced another question in your audit that must be completed prior to any works commencing, the question will ask you to identify the location of the electric metre and you must obtain a photo of this. its imperative that all checks are completed prior to any works being started unless otherwise instructed.
