  • Do not "tick". Write OK or use the number of the specific deviation given in the legend alone. If the hand tool is defective it must be tagged - "Defective" - and must be reported to the person responsible for the repair of the equipment. If the hand tool is beyond repair it must be destroyed and discarded. Each hand tool must be inspected separately according to its criteria. The object of inspecting hand tools is to ensure that the hand tool is in a safe condition to do the work it was designed for without injuring the person who uses the tool.
