Pre-opening checks to be completed by the duty manager opening the club Monday - Sunday This check must be completed by the duty manager opening the club paying particular attention to safety. Email this checklist to Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, Facilities Manager (Steve Mason) and General Manager.

  • Collect Club keys from More London Security office. Open the door and disable intruder alarm with the fob.

  • Switch on the lights and collect DM keys from main key cupboard (code: 1005). Open the GM office.

  • Switch on the air con in the Concierge area

  • Collect newspapers from the loading bay and display in FOH areas. Please ensure you check magazines are in date and placed neatly

  • Ensure air diffusers are in place and full

Men's and Ladies wet areas

  • Shower areas safe clean and presentable from the previous night clean?

  • Toilets checked for safety and cleanliness? Ensure you check the toilet paper levels

  • Weighing scales in good working order?

  • Check sufficient levels of wet area amenities such as shampoo & conditioner?

  • Check all wet areas for general safety such as slips and trips ensuring suitable signage is in place?

  • Check all areas are in a safe presentable condition and raise any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department.

Pre-opening checks

Men's and Ladies dry areas

  • Check all dry areas for safety such as slips and trips?

  • Check sufficient levels of amenities are in place (deodorants,cotton buds, cotton pads,razors,make-up remover etc.)

  • Check cleanliness & maintenance inside all lockers - Report any actions to Maintenance Manager & Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Weighing scales in good working order?

  • Hair dryers and straighteners in good working order and safe to use?

  • Clothes irons and ironing boards in good working order and safe to use?

  • Check sufficient levels of towels are on the shelves.

  • Collect lost property from the changing rooms and bring to Concierge to be logged

  • Ensure air con units are functioning well in both changing rooms

  • Check all areas are in safe a safe presentable condition and raise any maintenance issues to the Facilities Department.

Pool and Sauna/Steam Room area

  • Check that the pool dolphin was placed in from the night before and is safe to remove? Remove the dolphin, ensure it is correctly & neatly stored in the plant room.

  • Turn on Steam Room & Sauna (Door code: C2589Y). Ensure the cupboard is clean and does not contain cleaning chemicals <br>

  • Check steam room eucalyptus scent is pumping and topped up. Any issues, please report to Maintenance Manager

  • Ensure pool signs are placed correctly (1 foot from the edge of the pool)

  • Ensure pool plant room is clean and presentable - E-mail Maintenance Manager if anything needs following up

  • Check pool area for safety such as slips and trips and ensure relevant signs are out ready?

  • Check all areas are in a safe presentable condition and raise any maintenance issues to the Facilities Department.

  • Areas safe to open?

Studios

  • Switch on the lights & air con in the Riverside studio. Check the levels of cleanliness and studio tidy (dumbbells/fightklub bags) and take actions where necessary. <br>Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance Manager

  • Switch on the lights & air con in the Mind & Body Studio. Check all cupboards for cleanliness & tidiness. Report any Maintenance issues to Maintenance Manager

  • Switch on the lights and & heater in the Hot Yoga Studio (temperature 35 degrees)

  • Switch on the lights in the Cycle studio. Check for cleanliness and maintenance issues and take actions where necessary

  • Ensure all mic batteries are on charge and all 3 mics are located at Concierge

  • Ensure Riverside, Cycle and Mind & Body studios have 2 x spray bottles and towel dispenser fully stocked

  • Ensure Sweat X headphones have been set on charge overnight and are ready for to be used. Please check sufficient level of wet wipes and spare batteries for mic in the cupboard

  • Check all areas are in a safe presentable condition and raise any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager

Pre-opening operational preperation

  • Gym floor walk checking for good presentable condition and safety.

  • All cardio equipment turned on by the Fitness Team and ready to use by members?

  • Check all first aid boxes are in place (separate First Aid Audit completed weekly)

  • Check defibrillator is operation and with the correct contents (in date) ready for use.

  • Switch on all TV’s manually (Concierge, changing rooms, gym floor)

  • Switch on music system and check the set levels (FOH/Changing rooms should be at level 5 high energy)

  • Check number of towel bags to ensure sufficient stock available for peak times. Contact Super Laundry if needed

  • Distribute radios: DM, Concierge, Housekeeping, Fitness, Maintenance. Ensure all radios are on channel 2

  • Ensure medical water and cups are fully topped up and spare stock available in the store room

  • Perform full check of light bulbs and report to Maintenance if actions required

  • Log and report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager

  • Ensure projector on gym floor is functioning correctly - Please report to Maintenance Manager for Maintenance issues and to the Marketing team if any ads out of date

  • Check all fire exists are clear from obstructions and safe (separate fire checks audit to be completed)

  • Check all fire extinguishers in place and in date

Open club and complete final checks

  • Complete detailed fire checks audit (separate audit)

  • Complete Daily pool test audit (separate audit)

  • Check public area toilet is safe clean and presentable with sufficient stock levels of amenities and toilet rolls.

  • Test the disabled lift to ensure it’s in operation and ready to be used

  • Staff room is clean and in presentable condition?

  • Checking staffing levels are as per the mornings rota.

  • Ensure all staff members are wearing appropriate uniform inclusive of a name badge - Report to Operations Manager if necessary

  • Check for any accumulated build up storage (consumable materials etc).

  • Read DM handover and take any actions where required

Sign as completed and email a copy to - General Manager - Operations Manager - Housekeeping Supervisor - Maintenance Manager - Facilities Manager
