How to maintain a vacuum cleaner.

  • Remove and empty dust bag

  • Remove and clean filter

  • Inspect and roll up electrical lead.

  • Regular check for any obstructions

  • End of use maintenance and cleaning

Fitting of vacuum cleaner

  • Ensure hose is connected to clear dome lid with the outlet on the same side as your vacuuming arm.

  • Loosen the straps

  • Lift the machine with one hand.<br>While sliding the other arm through one of the straps.<br>Then put other arm through the remaining strap.

  • Let machine settle into 'small' of your back, just above your backside.

  • Tighten waist straps until secure and comfortable.

  • Pull down on both remaining ends of the shoulder straps until you feel that almost all the weight of the machine (95%) is being carried by the waistband.

  • Tighten waist and if necessary.

Operating the vacuum cleaner.

  • Stand upright with the handgrip section of the wand Parnell to the floor. It should be at a comfortable arms length with one hand on the wand.

  • Once the end of the lead has been reached and the work completed, return to the power point along the lead line.

  • Disconnect lead from power point. If work not finished unplug the lead from the power point and then wind from backpack towards end of the lead.<br>If work complete, remove backpack by sliding feet strap off shoulder while raising right arm/shoulder to hold strap in place. <br>Slowly lower right shoulder and lower unit to the floor. (Do not drop)

  • Move to next power point and repeat.
