Health

  • I am medically fit to undertake a CCR dive

Oxygen

  • Check Oxygen Tank Content

  • Check Oxygen Tank Pressure

  • Check CFM Valve - count drop in 10 Bar - should be around 10 seconds

Diluent and Bailout

  • Diluent and Bailout Tank(s) - Check Content - O2% and He%

  • Diluent and Bailout Tank(s) - Check Preassure

Monox PPO Display

  • Check Battery Plug

  • Turn on Display - working

  • Battery Check

  • Check calibration in Air (0.21-0.21-0.21 at sea level)

  • If sensors don't align as above - calibrate in Air

Shearwater Computer

  • Turn on Display - Working

  • Battery Check

  • Check calibration in air (0.21-0.21-0.21 at sea level) - if not calibrate in later step

Scrubber Canister

  • Filling of Canister done correctly?

  • Check - Canister internal O-Rings (Black and Red at bottom and black at top)

  • Check O-Ring in Canister lid

  • Close Canister - check markings - install snap ring

  • Conduct Positive and Negative Pressure Test on Canister

Counter Lungs

  • Fit Exhale Counter Lung (Ensure it is dry before fittiing)

  • Fit Inhale Counter Lung (Ensure it is dry before fitting)

  • Fit counter lung to canister

Loop

  • Visual Inspection of Mouthpiece and open/close mechanism

  • Check Mushroom Valve

  • Conduct Positive and Negative Loop Pressure Test

  • Conduct Loop Flow Gas Test

  • Loop Counter Lung connections

<br>Gas Line

  • ADV/Exhale Counter Lung Connection

  • Tank First Stage Conneciton

Electronics

  • Cell Housing / Inhale Counter Lung Connection

Positive and Negative Pressure Check

  • Conduct 2 minute Positive Pressure Check

  • Conduct 2 minute Negative Pressure Check

Calibration

  • Oxygen Flush Conducted

  • Monox - If Calibration Required - Calibrate

  • Shearwater - If Calibration Required - Calibrate

  • Ensure all monitors agree

BCD and ADV

  • BCD and ADV Connection

  • BCD and ADV Operating Control

Pre Breath

  • Conduct 5 minute pre-breathe

Safety Checks

  • Conduct Pre-Dive Safety Check

  • Undertake O2 Flush at 5 meters - check cell readings

  • Open Diluent Valve and conduct Dill flush - check cell readings
