Vibration & Noise: Hearing Protection to be worn if noise levels exceed 85Db(A). HAVS certs are in the office for all equipment that generates any form of vibration.

Working at Height: All platforms must be erected by PASMA trained persons, if using MEWPS, the machine must carry a valid inspection certificate, all operatives must carry a valid certificate of training, and must be competent to carry out all works associated working at height from MEWPS, safety harnesses and tool lanyards must be worn at all times.

Working at Height: Pop ups, all persons must be trained in the use of a Popup. All above machine, must be regularly inspected, recorded, and maintained, also must be used on level and firm ground. Ladders and Stepladders may be used at times but will be kept to a minimum. These will be inspected on a daily basis for wear and tear.

Poor House keeping: All walkways and work area must be cleared of debris, ensuring a high level is maintained in housekeeping policy. Barriers must not be altered in any way from a designated access route. Noise levels in the building will closely monitor and information about excessive levels will be controlled.

Dust & Fibre Particles: Some tools and plant are fitted with dust extraction and collection devices, if these are fitted ensure they are used correctly and working. Ensure the correct type of dust mask is used properly, When drilling goggles must be worn at all times as well as dust masks.

Failure to Wear Eye protection is to be provided and used whenever work is being carried out using cold chisels, drills, grinders or any other tool where there is a risk of flying particles or pieces of tool breaking off.
