Warehouse/Storage Inspection

  • The following inspection checklist will identify key elements within both the Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems, that MUST be adhered to at all times

Forklifts

  • Have pre-use checks been conducted for both the forklift trucks?

  • Which equipment's pre-use checks were not conducted?

  • Is there adequate segregation between pedestrians and vehicles?

Racking

  • Is all of the racking in good condition i.e. damaged uprights, signs of impact, general wear and tear?

  • Please ensure photo evidence is taken and communicated to both Warehouse Management and the HSEO immediately.

  • Is all product stored on the racking in a safe manor? i.e. strapped, secured, stable, no broken pallets etc

  • Please state any issues identified

  • Are bumpers installed at the entrance to racking corners?

  • Please ensure photo evidence is taken and communicated to both Warehouse Management and the HSEO immediately.

Fire Safety

  • Are all fire exits and fire exit routes clear and unobstructed?

  • Are fire extinguishers easily accessible and clearly signed?

  • Are LPG canisters stored correctly within their designated area?

  • Which of the following applies?

Waste Management

  • Are all internal waste bins emptied?

  • Is there an excessive build up of wood/broken pallets?

  • Are recycling containers in good order i.e. not overflowing & correctly bagged?

  • Is cardboard correctly baled and safely stored?
