Access considerations and manual handling.

  • It is the intention of the company to minimise the risk of injury at all times. Musculoskeletal disorders are a leading type of workplace injury and one of the most costly for businesses. They account for a third of all injury and illness that requires days off work. Consideration must not only be given to the weight being carried, but the individual and the environment. With this in mind, it is important to let the delivery teams know as much as possible about the task and location. Each sale rep/merchandiser is aware of safe manual handling procedures and must proceed as they see fit.
