Conduct

  • All users must show respect for venue, its equipment and the staff. Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the venue.

  • Always maintain your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others.

  • You must not work under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs

Emergency Procedures

  • Don't block fire exits, passageways or firefighting equipment, Don't cover fire exit signs.

  • Contact a Venue Technician before commencing work that may generate smoke, heat, dust etc.

Explain Fire Exits and Locations for Assemby Area

  • Shipping Container - Homewood Drive out the back near fire hose

  • Power pole out the front of the building on the lawn area

First Aid

  • All first aid should be reported to the Production Manager/Teacher in charge and the Venue Technician on duty.

  • First Aid Kits are located on Prompt Side of stage and in the Box Office

Hazard Removal and Incident Reporting

  • Hazards must be removed immediately if safe to do so.

  • All injuries, accidents, damages, hazards and near misses must be reported immediately to your supervisor and the Venue Technician

  • An incident report must be completed. Please see the Venue Technicain to get a copy of the form.

Security

  • We highly suggest to not leave tools or valuables unattended. Always secure your items when you vacate the venue/area.

Facilities and Amenities

  • Dressing rooms and toilets are upstairs above the Green room - located upstage.

  • Dressing rooms will have been allocated to particular people/jobs. Unless you are required in this area you are not to be there.

  • Smoking is not permitted on this site or within 10 metres of an entry.

Venue Access

  • Is this a school/community group? (not professional hirer)

  • During rehearsals and the show you must not go into the auditorium and foyers unless instructed to do so. If you do you must only use the front 3 rows unless requested by venue staff to do otherwise.

  • On prompt side of stage is the fly system which is one of the most dangerous pieces of equipment in the venue. Only qualified competent people are allowed to use this equipment. Our Venue Mechanist/Flyman lives in this area during your time here an needs 100% access. There is a yellow line on the floor that you must not cross, unless instructed to do so.

  • Only people who have been given clearance are allowed to access the catwalks and/or followspot booths.
