1. 9 PEST CONTROL POLICY AND INSPECTION

Pest Control The Head of Technical is responsible for minimizing the risk of pest infestation on the site. A competent third party will be contracted to conduct regular inspections and treatment of the premises to deter or eradicate infestation. The scope of activities will be clearly defined and recorded. Technical department and deputies are in places to ensure pest control is enacted. Detailed records will be kept of inspections, recommendations and necessary action undertaken. A plan of the site will mark the location of all bait stations and fly killers. The operational areas of the premises will be covered by permanently operational fly killers. Internal drains will be fitted with screens to prevent pest entry. All incoming raw material will be checked on arrival for the absence of pest infestation. These inspections will be recorded. All products both raw materials, packaging and finished product will be stored so as to minimize the risk of infestation. The pest control contractor will document the safe use and application of baits. All entry points will be protected as far as reasonable to prevent the ingress of pests. Process equipment handling raw materials vulnerable to infestation will be identified and subject to inspection. All fly killer traps will be subject to contents analysis on a regular basis. Any corrective actions arising from the inspections will be documented.
