  • All sources of ACM are identified, labelled (where practicable) and recorded in a register which is available at the worksite

  • An ACM Plan will be established for each site/operation where ACM is identified. The plan will include: ACM register, ACM activities log, ACM action plan and photographs of all areas that contain or a suspected to contain ACM

  • Where ACM is identified, there is a regular inspection process by a competent person to determine the condition of ACM and identify any potentially hazardous environments.

  • All ACM removal work shall be undertaken by licenced ACM removalist unless the removal is less than 10m2 of non-friable ACM. Where UGL employees are tasked with ACM removal (less than 10m2), they shall be trained, competent and authorised by the Project/Site Manager

  • Minimum control requirements for ACM removal include: disposable coveralls (type 5, category 3 – ISO 13982-1), respiratory protection (minimum, half face P2 respirator that is properly fitted), ACM surfaces to wet during the removal process and prohibition of mechanical tools to remove ACM

  • Air Monitoring – where personnel are required to undertake Class A and Class B ACM removal work and air monitoring program must be established and conducted by a licenced asbestos assessor
