1. TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND PPE

  • Works not to start until signage in place as per Approved Traffic Management Plan supplied by contractor

3. EARTHWORKS

  • Make sure all pits have silt socks or similar infront of them if affected by site runoff

4. DRAINAGE

  • Pipes and culverts conform to Australian Standards?

  • Worksafe informed of trenches in excess of 1.5m depth > shields?

  • Pipes not to be laid until trench and bedding approved ?

  • Verify proper line and grade for pipes prior?

  • Pipes Haunched and backfilled with appropriate material?

  • Pit bases compacted and level?

  • Pit lids levels are flush with FSL?

  • Terra Firma lids and grated lids locked and bolted down? and plugs installed?

  • Pits rendered where pipe enters pits ?

  • Step irons placed in pits? (if required) and at Correct spacings?

  • AGI pipes approved depth and inspected pouring of filter material(no fines, scoria)?

  • Correct pit cover installed?

  • Pit throat constructed to standards? Min. opening? between 90mm - 110mm

  • Soakage or Atlantis cells installed as per plans and specifications? (need photos)

  • All house drains and property inlets are installed, and house drain riser is in place?

  • Outfalls have grates to prevent entry and are locked with an acceptable Council key?

5. INSPECTION OF PAVEMENT SUB GRADE

  • Stringing of Sub Base to take place prior to Base Course pavement starting? To make sure even depth.

  • Any 'soft' spots removed and filled with agreed material?

  • Proof roll, Compaction tests to take place prior to placement of base course?

  • Any rectification required?

6. INSPECTION OF PAVEMENT BASE COURSE

  • Contractor to confirm the Class and size of rock prior to placement?

  • Proof roll, Compaction tests and stringing of Base to take place prior to placement of Asphalt?

  • Base not contaminated with other materials and is clean (no soft spots)?

  • No cracking or deterioration of base?

  • Area kept free of vehicular traffic prior to asphalt?

7. CONCRETE KERB AND CHANNEL

  • Concrete not to be placed until formwork approved (for hand work)?

  • Correct levels/fall to pits?

  • Uniform and match existing (correct type of kerb)?

  • All areas backfilled and seeded as required?

  • Starter bars used to connect to existing kerb?

  • Kerb and channel is stamped indicating location of conduits and house drains.

  • Vehicle crossings need to inspected prior to pouring to check Bedding, levels, reinforcement and dowels

  • Thresholds and Islands need to inspected prior to pouring to check Bedding, levels, reinforcement and dowels

9. FOOTPATH AND CONCRETE WORKS

  • Concrete not to be placed until formwork approved?

  • Area boxed out to appropriate depth?

  • Crushed rock placed and compacted to apprpriate depth?

  • Placing of reinforcement inspected and approved type used?

  • Starter bars drilled in to exisiting path to join new path?

  • Any Slump tests required?

  • All areas backfilled, levelled and seeded as required?

  • Are tactiles installed as per plans?

  • Vehicle crossings as per standard drawings? inspected prior to pouring

10. HOT ASPHALT SURFACING

  • The placement of any asphalt layer shall not commence until consent to proceed is obtained from superintendent.

  • Profiling to adjoining seal on cross slope?

  • Area clean,dry and swept prior to placement of asphalt ?

  • Prime seal, Tack coat applied? (if stated on plans)

  • Correct asphalt mix design is being delivered to site?

  • Asphalt laid at correct Temp? check with heat gun

  • Cold joins heated up with gas torch?

  • Rollers, Compactors and multi's correct size?

  • Finished surface complies with drawings and standards?

  • After placement of asphalt is area free of left over asphalt, stones or emulsion?

11. LINEMARKING, SIGNAGE AND LIGHTING

  • Linemarking not to commence until mark-out is approved?

  • RRPMs installed at correct locations?

  • Confirm type of paint to be used (CAP, Thermo, Waterbourne, Solvent base paints) ?

  • Site clean and dry prior to painting?

  • Area protected until paint dry?

  • Any Overspray or need rectification ?

  • Any additional works required to match into existing linemarking?

  • Signage installed as per plans?

  • Light and sign poles are vertical.

  • Fire hydrants and fire plugs in place and marked in accordance with Fire Service Guidelines published by the fire authority and are at the correct level?

  • Service Authority assets are at the correct level?

PRACTICAL COMPLETION

  • DATE OF INSPECTION

  • Asset statement and as constructed plans have been provided? Dspec and Rspec?

  • WSUD Treatments - Test results to demonstrate Raingardens and Bioretention Systems built to design and functioning

  • Quality, Access and Public Safety - Practical completion Inspection Prior to consenting to commencement of the defects liability period

  • Omissions have been completed as per omissions and defects list.

  • Light and sign poles are vertical.?

  • No subsidence has been identified.

  • Site is generally tidy. (i.e., no rubbish, wheel ruts have been removed etc)?

  • No failure of infrastructure has been identified.?

  • Electronic surveillance of all pipe drains was carried out at the end of the Maintenance Period and information provided to Council.
